BlueSky Furled Leaders is more than a family business—it's the result of a lifetime spent on the water and a passion for helping anglers enjoy every cast.

Owners Nathan and Rebecca Register share a deep love for the outdoors. Nathan grew up fishing the saltwater marshes along the North Carolina coast and has rarely been without a fishing rod in his hands. His fishing adventures have taken him from competing in king mackerel tournaments offshore to chasing wild trout in the crystal-clear streams of California's High Sierra while living near Lake Tahoe.

Rebecca, a Wisconsin native, shares Nathan's passion for the outdoors. The two met while serving in the United States military and have been happily married for more than 32 years. Together they have raised two wonderful daughters while building a business centered on craftsmanship, integrity, and a love of fly fishing.

Since 1999, BlueSky Furled Leaders has been handcrafting premium furled leaders in the USA. Every leader is woven from more than 90 feet of premium nylon to deliver exceptional turnover, delicate presentations, and long-lasting performance. Each leader comes pre-looped for quick and easy loop-to-loop attachment to your fly line, making setup simple whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler.

As our family business enters its next chapter, we're excited to announce that our daughter, Kayla Register, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, is leading the future of BlueSky Furled Leaders. While Nathan continues to share his knowledge and passion for fly fishing, Kayla is carrying on the family tradition with the same commitment to quality, customer service, and American craftsmanship.

Whether you're fishing mountain streams, spring creeks, warmwater rivers, or coastal saltwater flats, our mission remains the same: to provide handcrafted furled leaders that help you fish with greater confidence and enjoy every moment on the water.

We also believe that professional fishing guides are the ambassadors of our sport. They introduce new anglers to the outdoors and inspire a lifelong appreciation for fly fishing.
